Medicine Park is located at the main entry to the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge and is the only cobblestone community in Oklahoma.
Founded on July 4, 1908, Medicine Park was Oklahoma's first planned tourism resort and became the "playground" of the State's rich, famous and notorious. Medicine Park was named for the “healing powers” believed to be present in the waters of Medicine Creek flowing through the town.
Today, Medicine Park is a thriving resort community on the rise and is home to many famous artists. Lodging is available at several local bed breakfasts and cabins in town.
