Today, Oklahoma is 50th in the nation for overall health and all Oklahoman's are part of that statistic - including our children. This hard fact is due primarily to unhealthy behaviors such as sedentary lifestyle and poor diet. Bart's presentation will inspire to you see how something as simple and accessible as running or even walking, can change your life for the better.

Bart's motivational personal experience will help us to realize that unlike most sports, ANY runner can participate right alongside professional and elite runners and experience exciting life experiences, with the added benefit of improved health and fitness. Join Bart for lunch and his presentation entitled: "Never limit where running can take you." This inspirational collection of stories and photographs illustrate the risks and rewards, the beauties and beasts, the highs and lows, the heatstroke and frostbite, the penguins, the rhinos and the great people I've met over the past 30 years participating in races around the world on all seven continents.

Bart Yasso, Chief Running Officer of Runner’s World, created the “Yasso 800s,” a workout that predicts marathon race pace by running 800 meters 10 times. Bart’s two decades and counting marathon experience earned him an induction into the Running USA Hall of Champions. Along with that honor, he’s continued to show his love of running by participating in at least one marathon on all seven continents, from Boston and New York to Antarctica and Mount Kilimanjaro.

My Life on the Run
