Today we are going to share many awesome apps for runners to help manage your training and have you race day ready! Whether you’re joining us for your first 5K or are a seasoned marathoner, these apps for runners are worth checking out.
Strava
This app provides a great platform for runners and cyclists to connect. If you’re delving into unknown territory, definitely take a look at Strava. Strava tracks your performance. It also gives you the option to provide a safety contact and allow them to locate you via GPS.
PaceDJ
Musically motivated? This app is for you! Match your stride with songs from your own music library that won’t kill your groove by being too slow. You can also purchase from PaceDJ’s extensive music library.
MyPlate by Livestrong
Fueling your body is equally as important as getting those training sessions in. Unique from other apps that track calories, nutrients and macros, MyPlate also makes sure your nutrition is inline with your specific training goals. Find a community of members to encourage you. You can also log over a million food and restaurant items as you eat to track your nutrients.
RunKeeper
Want to get a little competitive with your training buddies? RunKeeper is just the app for you. Encourage each other and meet those goals by mapping out your routes each day.
C25K® 5K Trainer
One of the most popular running apps out there, C25K (Couch To 5K) is the perfect app if you’ve never run a 5K and would feel motivated by a tech-enhanced training plan. If you’re ready for a bigger challenge than our 5K, the creators of this app also have an app you can use to prepare for our 10K or half marathon.
Nike+ Run Club
This is a great option more seasoned runners. Whether you run a few miles a week or are a true marathoner, this app is a great resources. Nike+ Run Club saves all your stats and offer the option for you to work with your own Nike+ Run Coach.
